Third grade is the only new project this week.
We have three sharing sessions this week, and most grades are continuing the projects described in previous weeks. The only grade moving on to a new project are the Kinders. Continuing their exploration of Organic Shapes, they'll be learning about artist Henri Matisse and practicing their scissor skills.
We'll be working more on our routines and processes as we return and settle down from our break. A wide variety of media will include clay, acrylic paint, watercolor paint, and colored pencils.
Many students are completing one project while it's an awkward time to start something new. For those with enough classes between now and the break, they will keep working on their projects. Any finishing early will be challenged to create a feather for our school's wings inspired by the street art of Kelsey Montague. Students in all grades will continue those projects described in the the last post. Students continue their projects, while first graders start their own portraits. |
